wel man: This also has a folkloric meaning, as shown in Wantok's Stori Tumbuna.

An example from Wantok's Stori Tumbuna:
"Tasol em i no kamap yet long haus na namel long rot long bus yet em 
i lukim wanpela welman.  Dispela welman em i gat banara na supsup na 
spia bilong em tu... Olsem na welman o masalai i ting olsem man ya em 
i ranawe i go pinis long narapela rot ol-sem na ma-salai i lusim ples 
tudak na i kam ausait long ples klia."

This usage coincides with folk motif F567 (Thompson, 1993).

wel man: Steinbauer (p. 113) also defines this as a "slick operator"

wel masta: albino (I'm not sure where I've seen this.  Can anyone confirm it?)
