Here are some additional words associated with Christianity that are
not in Mihalic (1971)
Konpes: confess (Ol Singsing bilong Lotu Katolik , p. 21)
Triwan: triune (Ol Singsing bilong Lotu Katolik , p. 48)
Aleluya: alleluia (Ol Singsing bilong Lotu Katolik , p. 71)
Hosana: hosana (Ol Singsing bilong Lotu Katolik , p. 157)
Kerubim: cherubim (Ol Singsing bilong Lotu Katolik , p. 66)
Serapim: seraphim (Ol Singsing bilong Lotu Katolik , p. 66)
Profeta: profet (Ol Singsing bilong Lotu Katolik , p. 66)
Vesper: vesper (Ol Singsing bilong Lotu Katolik , p. 161)
The Diksenari bilong Nupela Testamen is presumably based on the Tok
Pisin Nupela Testamen and must be widely used, so the vocabulary in
Strickert must get some usage. However, many of the words in
Strickert may not be widely used outside of bible study though,
comments?
Bikpris: kind of senior priest (Strickert, p. 26)
Hetpris: kind of senior priest (Strickert, p. 26)

Kastam: business tax (Strickert, p. 121)
Laion: lion (Strickert, p. 136)
Lepra: leprosy (Strickert, p. 138); this suggests wider use than just
in the Rabaul area as Mihalic states (1971: 121)
Ston salfa: brimstone (Strickert, p. 173)
Pekato: sin, hell (new) (Lattas, p. 273); Mihalic defines this only

extrapolation by Lattas?
