For expressive, written tok pisin, its well worth scanning recent poetry
written in TP.
Two examples:

Winduo, Steven Edmund. 2000. Hembemba: Rivers of the Forest. Suva, Fiji :
Papua New Guinea, Institute of Pacific Studies, University of the South
Pacific ; Language and Literature Department, University of Papua New
Guinea, 124 p.

The fourth section of the book includes 15 poems in tok pisin (with english
translations), pp. 77-110.

And in the recent special issue of the Australian literary journal,
Meanjin, Meanjin on PNG (2003, Vol. 62, No.3, edited by Drusilla Modjeska,
there is a short section, pp. 192-9, with four tok pisin poems by three
writers:

Milton Kwaipo Tom Boy 192-3, Bougainville 194-5
Raymond Lugabai Amerika! 196-7
Gwendolyn Kalupio Wai Na Yu Go? 198-9.
