A growing vocabulary for what is many people's only language doesn't bother
me personally, but it reminds me of a conversation recently where one of our
training staff was talking to a well educated woman in a Madang village.  He
explained that the students who would be staying there for a month were
there to learn Tok Pisin, so would she mind not speaking English to them?
She replied

 

"Mipela mas abolisim tok pisin!"
