Dear all,
As I mentioned today at the morning tea, the faculty is now the proud
owner of a small collection of fine china, which can be used on those
occasions when important guests (in short, those people we want to
impress) come to visit us, or on special occasions. The collection
includes six cake plates, 24 cups and sauces, and 24 small side plates.
In addition to this, we also have tea spoons, dessert spoons, knives,
and a good variety of glass tumblers. This collection is kept in a
secure cupboard in the National Thai Studies Centre (E4.36 - the only
room we could find) on the fourth floor. Should anyone wish to use our
china, please contact your centre administrator.
For all other guests to the faculty, white mugs have been placed in the
small cupboard in the staff common room, so that they are easy for all
to access on short notice. It would be appreciated if these mugs would
not 'walk' away from that cupboard, but that they would be washed and
left to drain (or for the angels among you, dried and put away) after
use, ready for the next person.
Thanks,
Elizabeth
