ORIENT: Reminder - Rakugo at ANU this evening

The Japan Centre, Faculty of Asian Studies, ANU College of Asia and
the Pacific is pleased to host an evening of the Japanese yose-style
Rakugo with three story-telling 'masters' which will be held as follows.
1. Date&Time: Monday 22 May, starting at 5.30pm
2. Venue: Great Hall, University House, ANU
3. Admission: Gold coin donation, please.
4. BYOZ: Bring your own Zabuton or cushion
5. Program:
(1) Rakugo (Story-telling) "Kami-ire (The Wallet)" by Sanshootei
Charaku
(2) Nokogiri Mandan (Musical saw) by Miyakoya Utaroku
Intermission (Sake and some other drinks and snacks will be served.)
(3) Kamikiri (Paper cutting) by Hayashiya Imamaru
(4) Rakugo (Story-telling) "Funa-Toku (Toku the Boatman)" by
Sanshootei Charaku
Stories will be told in Japanese, however, there will be English sub-
titles shown via a PowerPoint presentation.
This event is sponsored by the Japan Foundation and Rakugo Artists
Association in Japan.
