Dear PI Members,

There are several Pacific-related events on campus in the next few weeks. As usual, these are listed at:
http://pacificinstitute.anu.edu.au/events

One event not listed here which may be of interest to some PI Members is an informal seminar on fieldwork in West Papua by Budi Hernawan. This presentation is part of a regular series of fieldwork seminars hosted by the Linguistics Department which provides an opportunity for students and staff members to share their experience in the field. The seminar will be held tomorrow (Monday 29 April) from 12:00-1.30pm in Seminar Room A. Budi will talk about the interviews he conducted with torture survivors, state actors, and third parties in six different countries as part of his PhD fieldwork.

Finally, you may have noticed a hiatus in posts to Outrigger. This is the result of a protracted process of migrating the blog from one (old) CAP server to another (new) server. The new site should be ready - with new posts and a new events feature - by the end of this week. It will look much the same, but should perform better and be more stable.

Thanks.
