2014 State of the Pacific Conference
18 – 19 June 2014
The State, Society and Governance in Melanesia Program is hosting the 2014 State of the Pacific conference on 18 – 19 June at the Australian National University.
The conference is a showcase for research on the Pacific region. It convenes academics, policy makers, business leaders, civil society and the media to discuss the nexus between research and policy. Through the themes of Political Development and Innovation in Development, the conference will explore some of the most pressing contemporary challenges facing the Pacific.
The conference also features a session titled ‘New Directions in Research’. This session showcases some of the most recent and innovative research being conducted by academics, policy makers, and development practitioners on the Pacific.
