The Pacific Institute offers our hearty congratulations to our colleague Professor Brij Lal on having been awarded the Order of Australia for his  'significant service to education, through the preservation and teaching of Pacific history, as a scholar, author and commentator'. Thank you Brij for the huge part you've played in helping to maintain the ANU's position as a vibrant and world leading centre for Pacific Studies.
