Dear Pacific Institute Colleagues,
On behalf of the Executive Board for the Australian Association for Pacific Studies, I am delighted to let you know about some of the features of our <http://pacificstudies.org.au> n<http://pacificstudies.org.au/>ew website launched in May this year.
The website promotes key developments in Australian Pacific Studies and the activities of current AAPS members. Our growing blog<http://pacificstudies.org.au/?page_id=83> includes news, reports, and events, both within AAPS and in the wider Australian Pacific Studies context. An extensive array of member publications and books are displayed on our publications page<http://pacificstudies.org.au/?page_id=7>.
Our events calendar includes Pacific Studies events from Australia and around the world. If you know of a forthcoming event, or regularly organise Pacific events you’d like promoted on our website, please contact me at admin at pacificstudies.org.au<mailto:admin at pacificstudies.org.au> to be added to our calendar.
Likewise, let me know if you have suggestions for Pacific Studies organisations or networks that we should add to our links<http://pacificstudies.org.au/?page_id=85>, and please add us to your links and bookmarks: http://pacificstudies.org.au/
The website also hosts an array of current and historical AAPS information, including:
- A video of a wonderful talk by Professor Gracelyn Smallwood<http://pacificstudies.org.au/?page_id=23>, in conversation with Jeff McMullen, calling for recognition for Australian South Sea Islanders, recorded in 2013:

We also have details of our forthcoming conference<http://pacificstudies.org.au/?page_id=43>—note the 30 September deadline for submission of panel topics!
