Upcoming Events



The Department of Pacific Affairs (DPA) is hosting three seminars over the next two weeks. On 6 November Chels Marshall, a PhD candidate with DPA, will be discussing her doctoral research in a seminar, Looking at the Sky, Listening to the Sea: Customary Environmental Knowledge, Climate Change in the Pacific and Connections of Atmosphere, Oceans, Species and People.

On 13 November Sarah O’Dowd, a research student studying Economics and Asia Pacific Security Studies in the College of Asia and the Pacific, will be discussing her research on the overall pattern of Chinese investment in PNG and the various risks and opportunities for PNG.

On 14 November Wouter Veenendaal, Assistant Professor of Political Science at Leiden University, will present the main findings of his newly published book Democracy in Small States: Persisting Against All Odds.
