Below is information about a film screening next week on Wednesday evening 14th November.


I saw the film at the recent PNG Human Rights Film Festival in Port Moresby and was really impressed by it. I recommend it to anyone who's interested in gender issues in the Pacific and/or those scholars interested in sports.

Hi everyone,

Just a reminder that we are hosting a fundraising screening of Power Meri next week in Weston Theatre, Crawford School, for Femili PNG. It will be a fab night, so do come along if you can!

The film follows Papua New Guinea’s first national women’s rugby team, the PNG Orchids, on their journey to the 2017 World Cup.

We'll also be joined on the night by PNG Orchids coach, former PNG Kumul and Canberra Raiders premiership player David Westley.

Tix are $15 or $10 concession. There will also be a cake stall on the night and other ways to support Femili PNG.
