Hi everyone,

Just letting you know about an event coming up in linguistics in November,
that might be of interest to anyone interested in language diversity and
variation. Sending this with apologies for cross-posting.

The Wellsprings of Linguistics Diversity Laureate
<http://www.dynamicsoflanguage.edu.au/the-wellsprings-of-linguistic-diversity/>
project is excited to announce our third and final Forum Dialogue event,
which will happen on November 19-23 this year at ANU. We're welcoming
special guests Sally Rice (University of Alberta) and Tony Woodbury
(University of Texas), to discuss this question: how does small-scale
variation lead to linguistic diversity?

Our special guests will deliver keynote lectures Monday-Thursday in an
alternating pattern, and we will have a synthesis discussion on the Friday
led by Laureate Fellow Nick Evans. Our program will run every morning of
the week (9am-12:30pm) and a light morning tea will be served.

You can download Sally and Tony's abstracts and view their speaker bios here
<http://www.dynamicsoflanguage.edu.au/education-and-outreach/train-with-us/wellsprings-forum-dialogue/wellsprings-forum-dialogue-2018/>.
Please register for catering purposes here
<https://goo.gl/forms/V9R8s9pWFCi5ghzg1> before Friday, November 2.

If you have any questions please email me at bianca.hennessy at anu.edu.au.
Looking forward to seeing lots of you there!

Bianca
