In this seminar, join Professor Phil Brown (CQU) and Dr Bree Wilson (USQ), who will talk about aspects of their recently concluded PNG sweet potato projects. Professor Phil led the TADEP project “Supporting commercial sweet potato production and marketing in the PNG Highlands” and Dr Bree was a research fellow leading the biocontrol work in the “Developing improved crop protection options in support of intensification of sweetpotato production in Papua New Guinea” project led by Professor Geoff Gurr at Charles Sturt University. Phil and Bree will talk about what the projects achieved, what worked well, what could be done differently next time and opportunities for future research, development and extension.​​​​​

Dr Bree Wilson is a Research Fellow in biological control at the Centre for Crop Health (Research), University of the Southern Queensland.

Prof Phil Brown is Professor of Horticulture Science and Director of the Institute for Future Farming Systems at C​QUniversity.
