[ANU Sailing Club] Upcoming Events

Hi all,

Two quick adverts for upcoming events.

BBQ and Sailing 1-4pm Sunday 16 March.



Come down to the club this Sunday for a free BBQ and a chance to chance
to go for a sail! While sailing will be under the clubs normal own risk
arrangements there will be experienced members on hand to answer any
questions you have or give you a rigging refresher.



Also if anybody is interested in learning how to teach sailing but has
not yet contacted me please do so at garrick_larkin at hotmail.com .



Coast Trip 11-13 April



In a nutshell this trip involves going to the coast for a weekend to
relax on the beach, have a beachparty and enjoy a range of water
related activities!
The activities change each year depending on the availability of
experienced trip leaders although there will definately be kayaking. Depending upon what people bring there is often a range of
beach sports like soccer, frisbie or kite flying.



The location for the trip will be Durras which is close to Batemans
bay and has a camp site with showers, toilets and take away food.


This trip is completely first timer friendly and no prior experience is necessary besides the ability to swim.



The cost (around $50-60) will include petrol, camping fees and a BBQ on Saturday
night. It is traditional to stop for dinner as a group en route Friday
and Sunday nights and this is not included in the cost (feel free to
bring your own food and skip the restaurant).
