Hello everybody,
the ANUSC audit was done on wednesday and it went reasonably well. The
club is still on probation (was since last year's audit) but the
probation may be removed soon depending on the decision of the sport
and rec council (they decide based on the audit's results).
For all the people not completely bilingual in the SRA language, "on
probation" means that the club cannot receive at the moment any money
from the SRA (the 60/40 thing). If the club sees its probation lifted,
we will get back the 40%.
After the good discussion with Alex Sumpster, we will have a lot of
small improvements to the life of the club.

**First of all, as some of you might have seen, there is a coded safe
on the lake side entrance of the club. Starting tomorrow there will be
a key in there to access the sailing club. We will change the code on
a fortnightly basis, and until I can make a website run, you will have
to ask me the code by email (and I might not give it to you, if you
are not SRA/haven't filled the paper forms). For the SRA, the safe
also allows us to close (and lock) the roller door when we go out on
the lake. For insurance/security reasons (and because Australia likes
lawyering) it seems to be important.

**There will be an updated version of the logbook, with lifejacket
tick, responsibility tick and boat name (which means we will have to
name our boats, anyone feels creative?)

**Finally the sailing year will go from 1st of April to 31st of March
(and so will the SRA membership fro the sailing club). This means we
will have our audits in April (with the AGM just before that and the
two exec committees overlapping until the audit). It is something
proposed by the audit, and that we need to put to a vote at the next
AGM.

There were a few other ideas, but all in all these are the most
important points.
See you at the next BBQ, or sailing tomorrow afternoon...
JF
PS: for the few who forgot to pay membership/pay SRA/fill in the
form... It would be very nice to have it sorted out pretty fast.
