[ANU Sailing Club] Shed access

Hello all,
 
The shed is now closed for the season. The club day on Saturday was heaps of fun with social racing, a bbq and lots of Tony's delicious home brew.
 
On the social racing side Glen Eaves is the club catamaran champion, Amy Dawel is the club women's Laser champ and Alex Minovich is the club men's Laser champ (more results below).
 
One issue that needs to be resolved befoire next season is operation of the safe. I have found the safe locked open three weeks in a row when I turned up on Saturday for the YMCA races. This is not okay because it leaves all the club equipment including the building vulnerable to theft or vandalism. After the third occasion and with the consutation of committee members I removed the key. (I sent an email explaining this to the club list but I must have got the address wrong - apologies to those inconvenienced including Shauna O'Meara). Still we must get to the bottom of this. Is someone having trouble operating the safe? Please contact me so we can sort out what's going wrong. Otherwise the possibility exists that we will not be able to provide access to members by this system - which will be very disappointing because that's what we're here for.
 
On a brighter note, I am planning to organise some racing for next season, club social events, YMCA races of Saturday, CYC races on Wednesday twilights and Sundays. We'll also arrange trips to Colia Lake (good for Lasers), Balmorla (dodging ferries in Sydney Harbour), Wallagoot (a fantastic laid-back regatta in a beautiful national park) and Bateman's Bay (season closing race).  Anyone whose interested in crewing an ANU boat next season, please let me know.
 
Apart from that thanks for a great season and I look forward to seeing you all again at the start of October (another day of social racing, bbqing and fun).
