Hi sailors,
Here is what's on this week.
*Tuesday.*
The shed will be open from 5 pm by Alex M.
Sailors (not current beginners) are welcome to come and either join Twilight
Races with YMCA (start is around 5.45, the knowledge of Right of Way is
compulsory) or just take a boat out and sail around. Whoever comes first
would have a bigger choice of boats.
*Wednesday*.
The 2nd session of the beginner course kick off at 5.00 pm. 6 lasers and 2
tasers are spoken out for the course. Since no one turned up last Saturday
to give me a hand with the repair of a racing taser, laser 2 and the cats,
you could only blame yourself for the lack of available vessels. Windsurfs
will be available for people with experience. Adam might want to take out a
sharpie to participate in CYC races (start at 6 pm) (Adam, confirm or deny)
and then up to two spots might be available in the boat.
Volunteers for the beginner courses!
Please check a roster I've made to wisely distribute people's time and
energy here

Put your name under the corresponding date if you are available and wish to
come. I don't think that we need more than 4 people per session, so if you
see that there is already 4 volunteers it's better if you just come to
assist on another day when we are in a lack of coaches. We are currently
discussing a possibility to put another beginner course in parallel (Mondays
and Thursdays possibly starting next week) and it means that it's crucial
that you distribute your time wisely so, please, use the roster.
*Saturday.*
The shed will be open from 12.30. Some people will be involved into a
Sharpie Promo Day. All other are welcome to come for a recreational sail or
YMCA Races (start at 2 pm, Adam do you know if they allow classes except
sharpies on that day?). After the race (from 4 to 6 pm) I'd like to do a
small Working Bee to do some repairs I wrote about last week + check Pumpkin
and Red Arrow for a leak (I need 2 men minimum).
*Sunday*
*
*
Adam, Garrick do you want to organise another Box Game for intermediate
level sailors from 12 to 2 pm? We got a megaphone now and I have some ideas
on how to improve judging (it's important in this game). We can also swap
judges (we definitely need 2) and players since more people know the rules
now. If you keen I can take care about signing people in.
*2-6pm*
The 3rd session of beginner courses.
