Dear all

Here is an update on printing quota usage monitoring.

As many of you have probably noticed, all PCs (Windows machines) in
SRES now have an icon in the taskbar that shows information about
your printing quota usage when you select it. This allows you to
monitor your usage.

The icon appears in the section of the taskbar that includes the
clock, volume control and other system functions, and shows a picture
of a printer with a small blue arrow pointing to the right. When you
pass your cursor over the icon it displays a window titled "Printing
Information", that includes your username, remaining quota (in
dollars and cents) and number of pages printed.

As there is no software currently available that will perform this
function for Macs, Mac users who would like information on their
quota usage should send an email to sres-it at anu.edu.au making their
request. The IT team are working on a solution for this problem.

Best wishes

Janette
