[Sres-postdocs] Geography Bldg fax machine

Dear all

We have been reviewing the status of the fax machine in the Geography
Building, for which it is becoming increasingly difficult to obtain
toner cartridges as the machine is now quite old.

It appears that the machine is not used very much to send faxes (as
it requires a password); and it seems that incoming faxes may lie on
the benchtop for some time, since there is no-one in the building
whose task it is to collect and distribute them.

We propose to decommission this fax machine at the end of March, and
to forward all faxes sent to that number (6125 3770) to the machine
in the SRES front office in the Forestry Bldg. This arrangement
would continue until the end of the year, after which the 53770
number would no longer be assigned as a fax number.

This means that all outgoing faxes would have to be sent from the
SRES front office. All incoming faxes would be received there, and
distributed via your pigeonhole at the same time as your mail.

Please let Zosha know if you have any substantial objections to this
proposal, by 24 March.

Many thanks,

Janette
