Lectureship / Senior Lectureship in Physical Geography, Victoria

Applications are invited for a fulltime lecturing position in Physical
Geography.
Physical geography in the School of Earth Sciences has an outstanding
record in teaching and research in contemporary earth surface processes
with emphasis on geomorphology, hydrology, coastal processes, and
natural hazards. Existing laboratory and field facilities support
research in: slope stability; slope hydrology and local climate;
groundwater processes; water quality; fluvial, coastal, and glacial
processes, as well as GIS applications.
The successful applicant will be expected to contribute to the current
physical geography research and teaching programme within the School.
They will have a demonstrated capacity for active and effective teaching
at undergraduate and graduate levels, as well as for supervision of
graduates. The appointee will be expected to pursue a programme of
research that meets international standards.
Applicants must have a PhD and be able to take up the appointment
preferably before March 2005.
