PROGRAM PART 1
9.30am-11am
"Roundtable discussion from NGOs in East Timor" with:
* Mike Smith (Austcare),
* Peter Jennings (Apheda),
* James Isbister (Caritas Australia).
* Chair Carlos Pereira (Timor Australia Council).
We have also invited Ausaid, Red Cross, Oxfam and
others to participate.
Comments from the floor welcome.
11am-11.20am Morning Tea
11.30am-12.30pm "The Future of East Timor" with:
* H.E. Hernani Coelho Da Silva (Ambassador for T-L),
* Tim Anderson (Aidwatch),
* Phil Glendenning (Edmund Rice Centre),
* Justice John Dowd
(or spokesperson International Commission of Jurists),
* Chair Professor Stuart Rees
(Centre for Peace & Conflict Studies, Sydney Uni)
12.30-1pm Lunch.
THIS FORUM IS A FREE EVENT. WITH ALL CONCERNED WITH
EAST TIMOR'S FUTURE URGED TO ATTEND.
A.E.T.A. welcomes donations towards the staging of this
event.
East Timor support organizations are welcome to bring
information and displays for this event.

PROGRAM PART 2
1pm-4pm BENEFIT CONCERT
Compere Jaslyn Hall (ABC Radio).
Performers include
East Timor Women's Cultural Dance Group,
'performance poet and ABC Radio personality' Tug Dumbly,
musicians Jeannie Lewis (diva) and
Maurie Mulheron (writer of 'Four Strong Women'),
the dynamic choir 'Voices From The Vacant Lot',
including Timor's leading rock musician Ego Lemos
('Cinco Do Oriente'/ Five of the Orient)
with Sydney's leading all-round percussionist
Blair Greenberg.
$20/$12 donation. Money raised will assist the
ARTE MORIS/BIBI BULAK CULTURAL CENTRE in Dili and its
work with internally displaced people in East Timor.
From 6pm A Special Dinner to Welcome the East Timor
Ambassador to Sydney at a nearby Portuguese Restaurant.
Cost-$25-$35.00
