Call for Papers

The Diálogos Journal (ISSN 2520-5927; e-ISSN 2789-2182) is an annual publication of the Facultyof Philosophy and Human Sciences of the Universidade Nacional Timor Lorosa’e(UNTL), and is aimed at being a platform for the production and sharing ofknowledge, stimulating approaches that contemplate the diversity of worldviews,reflection, experience exchange and the in-depth discussion of issues relevantto society.

For volume 8 (2023) Revista Diálogos presents thetheme: 

ART, AESTHETICS AND CREATIVE PROCESSES 

Aesthetics (as the study of the conception of beauty),art (as an activity of human creation) go through a creative process thatinvolves subjective and objective elements related, for example, to theauthor's biography, technical and technological knowledge, notions of ethicsand morality, power relations and the sociocultural context. Articles, essays,interviews and case studies are expected that address aesthetics, art andcreative processes in an interconnected way or in their respective fields. Thearticles can bring reflections on different artistic manifestations (painting,literature, sculpture, theater, music, dance, photography, audiovisualproductions, crafts...), biographies, theoretical and conceptual analyses, aswell as experiences of how aesthetics, art and creative processes can bemanifested in architecture, design, fashion, social behavior, among others.

Publishing guidelines follow:

1) Revista Diálogos follows APA's(7th edition) norms and recommendations for publication;

2) We received articles written inTetun, Portuguese and English;

3) Articles must be written in TimesNew Roman, 12, justified, A4 format (210x297), line spacing 1.5, paragraphindentation 1.0;

4) Articles may have a minimum of4,000 words and a maximum of 8,000 words, including title, abstract, keywords,references and notes;

5) Abstract must be between 100 and250 words, single spaced. Articles written in Portuguese or Tetun must have anabstract in the original language of the text and another abstract in English.Articles written in English must have an abstract in the original language ofthe text and another in Portuguese;

6) Keywords: articles written inPortuguese or Tetun must have between 3 and 5 keywords in the original languageof the text and in English. Articles written in English must have between 3 and5 keywords in the original language of the text and in Portuguese;

7) Images, graphics and tables mustbe sent in high resolution and with a description of the source;

8) Italics: for foreign words,titles (books, events, etc.) and emphasis;
9) Bold and underlined bulletsshould be avoided;
10) Footnotes: only if they arerelevant to the understanding of the text.
11) To ensure the integrity of theblind peer review, articles must be sent without the author's name and withoutbiographical or explanatory notes that may allow the identification of theauthor(s).

Criteria evaluated in articlessubmitted for publication:

1) Structure: the structure needs topresent an internal logic in relation to the topics covered;

2) Writing: the text must presentclarity, orthographic and grammatical quality, argumentation consistent withthe subject addressed;

3) Technical and theoreticalaspects: the article must present the correct use of the concepts discussed, aswell as demonstrate mastery over them;

4) Originality: will be consideredthe originality, the level of innovation presented, as well as the relevance tothe area of study of the work.
