"The purpose of anthropology is to make the world safe for human
differences." – Ruth Benedict
Ahmed (2014) – views “self-care as warfare.” That is, cultivating space to
care for ourselves, our colleagues, and our students is, in fact, a
political activity.
Monash University's Australian campuses are proudly on Kulin land. We pay
respect to the Kulin people, including elders past and present.
I live on the stolen lands of the Boon Wurrung and pay my respects to the
traditional owners, the Yaluk-ut Weelam Clan and acknowledge that claims to
sovereignty were never ceded.
