This is a reminder that submissions for the 2025 edition of Diálogos Journal remain open. Please find the call for papers below.

Diálogosis an open-access, peer-reviewed, and indexed scholarly journal dedicated topublishing studies in Philosophy, Social Science, and Humanities. It aims toprovide and share knowledge through approaches that consider the diversity ofworldviews, reflection, exchange of experiences and the deepening of issuesrelevant to society. There are no article processing charges to get publishedin the journal. Organized by the Faculty of Philosophy and Human Sciences ofthe National University of Timor Lorosa’e (Timor-Leste), Diálogos has beenpublished annually since 2016.
In2025, Diálogos will celebrate its 10th anniversary. To mark this occasion, wepresent the theme:
Theoryand Practice: An Overview of Research in Timor-Leste.
Articlescan be sent until March 15, 2025.
Articlescan be written in Tetun, Portuguese or English.
Submissionsare made directly through the Diálogos website:

Weexpect articles to address a wide range of issues related to research in thecountry, including:
-Analysis of innovative and traditional methodological approaches used instudies in Timor-Leste;
-Identification and analysis of the main challenges faced by researchers inTimor-Leste, such as resources, infrastructure, and policies;
-Assessments of the level of scientific literacy in Timorese society andinitiatives to promote it;
-Studies on the role of higher education institutions, schools, government, NGOsin the production, dissemination, and application of scientific knowledge;
-Studies on the relationships between knowledge, power dynamics, and theTimorese socio-historical context that influence scientific research;
-Explorations of theoretical concepts and practical techniques applied inconducting research;
-Research on how science is taught in schools and universities, includingcurricula, pedagogies, and outcomes;
-Studies examining the social impact of scientific and technological research onlocal communities;
-Investigations into the role of technology and innovation in advancing researchand development in Timor-Leste;
-Therole of the media in the socialization of knowledge;
- Amongothers.
Weaim that this edition (2025) of Revista Diálogos contribute to understanding,the advancement of research, and a collaborative environment for the exchangeof ideas and practices among academics, educators, and professionals fromdifferent areas.
Guidelinesfor authors:
a) Revista Diálogos follows APAstandards.
b) Weaccept articles written in Tetun, Portuguese, and English.
c)Articles must be written in Times New Roman font, size 12, justified, A4 format(210x297 mm), with 1.5 line spacing and a 1.0 paragraph indentation.
d)Articles can range from a minimum of 4,000 words to a maximum of 8,000 words,including title, abstract, keywords, references, and notes.
e)Abstracts must be between 100 and 200 words, single-spaced. Articles written inPortuguese or Tetun must include an abstract in the original language of thetext and another in English. Articles written in English must include anabstract in the original language of the text and another in Portuguese.
f)Keywords: Articles written in Portuguese or Tetun must have 4 keywords in theoriginal language of the text and in English. Articles written in English musthave 4 keywords in the original language of the text and in Portuguese.
g)Images, graphs, and tables must be submitted in high resolution with adescription of the source.
h)Italics should be used for foreign words, titles (books, events, etc.), andemphasis.
i)Bold and underlined text markers should be avoided.
j)Footnotes should only be used if they are relevant to understanding the text.
