Hello everyone in the interpretivist community,
Hope you are all well. As a follow up to my last email, I want to remind that we will be meeting this Friday, February 4th at 11 am. The purpose is to get to know existing and new members of the interpretivist community - and to also discuss ethnographies! (though we may also discuss other topics relevant to you).
In a slight change of plans (given that the university is also returning to in-person engagements), we will meet in person at Kambri in the outdoor section of Coffee Lab. Please do bring a copy (hard copy or soft) of an ethnography you have read and would like to share your insights on.
The weather is predicted to be sunny, so we may also move to the grass lawn next to Coffee Lab (in front of Rex) for a socially distanced, outdoor conversation.
I look forward to seeing many of you - the regular attendees and some new faces!
Until Friday

Subject: HDR Monthly Conversation Over Coffee (Ethnographies)
Dear All,
Hope you have all had a restful and rejuvenating break!
I am writing to inform you about our first HDR Conversation Over Coffee Meet-up for 2022. We were hoping to transition to in-person meetings this year, but alas, we must wait a little until the new variant subsides. Hope everyone is taking care of themselves and staying safe!
Our first meeting will be on the first Friday of February - which is February 4th at 11 am. Please save the date.
The first meeting will be a chance to get to know new members who have joined us as well as their research - and to also to talk about ethnographies! Is there an ethnography that you have read recently (or in the past) that you really liked? Do you have anything to share about its content or its writing style? Bring your favorite ethnography and your thoughts and we look forward to learning together.
Please also send thoughts on any topics/subjects you would like to address either in the upcoming meeting or the subsequent ones. Feel free to also suggest any riveting ethnography that we might want to read ahead of the meeting on February 4th.
I will be sending a zoom link closer to the date - but for now, please save the date for February 4th!
Until soon,
Heba Al-Adawy
