I expect this is RFID?
Some councils already have bar codes that can be read by the bin
truck, so I can't see this is a lot different. Someone I know gets
their bin stolen regularly, this might help.
Once we have RFID tags in grocery packaging, the council bin truck
can alert us by email that we need more weetbix or whatever ;-)
