Yes most people would have to remove and replace their ceiling fans. The
removed ones would go to landfill adding millions of tonnes of waste. Then
there is all the packaging on the new fans, and the energy necessary to
manufacture them.

Can't say I've had that experience.

I get migraine from florescent lighting, but not energy savers. They are
slightly different in their technology. I'm not aware of anyone reporting
epileptic from energy savers.

There are 12 volt ones too, that are just as good as the 240 volt ones
:) Great for solar and battery installs :)

Switch to the 12 volt energy savers. They are quite bright. Or even
smarter, switch the xenon LED's. They are incredibly bright, and come in
colours :) Including white :)

Kim raised the LED lighting in shops. They aren't really that expensive to
be honest. They run a bit warm, but they are highly energy efficient. I
can run a dozen around the house, lite quite bright, for 48 hours off a 7.2
Ah battery. We use them when the power fails :)

I'd install them permanently but there are legal complications.

>dimmer switches need to be fitted with balasts at costs of a lot of money

I gave up on dimmers a lot time ago :)

But you can dim LED lighting :) And make them chase, and flash and ...

Why not put in a matrix! Then you can walk down the hall and watch TV on
the roof at the same time!

You know there is only one manufacturer of incans now? Phillips stopped
production some years ago :(

Don't turn it on!
