Just a note: Parallels is a virtual machine host (like VMware). It  
does not run Windows applications unless you install a copy of  
Windows into a virtual machine. For that, you'd need a legal copy of  
Windows. WINE (and its cousins, CrossOver Office and TransGaming) are  
Win32 API emulators that don't require a copy of Windows. They are  
very specific to certain applications and cannot run just any Windows  
application. For example, you can't get Microsoft Access to run under  
WINE/CrossOver, but the rest of Office seems to do OK.
