While totally agreeing with the concept that the major media
distributors are fighting a war with FUD, I don't think its as simple
as that.
Words are mutable.
True, they've tried to define 'copyright infringement' as something
Awful by associating it with pirates, but they've lost that battle,
because people have taken the word and changed its connotations, if
not its meaning completely.
I mean, have you seen the Pirates of the Carribean movies? Apparently
pirates are people who fight against evil tyranny! Who knew? ;)
(In the first movie the pirates raid a town - tick. By the end of the
third movie they are fighting an evil overlord - cross!)
