Hey all,

Thought this might be of interest to some of you :)

----- Forwarded message from Pia Waugh <greebo at pipka.org> -----

We are in the process of writing the briefing paper (a process that will
likely itself be done collaboratively over a wiki in the future) and this
will be published on the website Thursday or Friday. We have also uploaded
all presentation slides we have access to on the schedule.

We had about 30 attendees, and around 70 people Tweeting throughout the
event. We were very happy with the numbers for a first event, and with only
10 days to coordinate the event, and we hope that future events will be
bigger and even more collaborative. We intend on making it clearer and
easier for people to participate in a Public Sphere, whether it be via
email, letter, blog comments or through the online event.

Unfortunately the live video streaming was not captured for recording, an
error we will be sure to fix for next time and our apologies for this. Craig
Thomler however live blogged the event which captures much of the content
and ideas from the day:

We felt the day went quite well, and we are taking on the input and ideas
from people about how to run a Public Sphere even better. We will likely be
planning another one for early June, to be announced on the website, so
please subscribe to the publicsphere rss feed here:

You can subscribe to the normal full site rss feed from here:

Finally, this morning Senator Lundy gave a speech at CeBIT where she
incorporated some of the ideas from the event and we thought some of you
might be interested:

Cheers and again, many thanks to everyone to helped and contributed!
