I found this reflector device made of card and alfoil improved reception
in our old house. It has some very thick brick and stone walls and I
can't easily place the wireless router in an optimal position.
It also might attenuate some interfering sources in your case. It won't
work miracles and may not improve anything for your geometry, but it'd
take about 10 minutes to construct and test.
