I guess, if we want the best outcomes, we can't afford absolutes.

Competition is generally good, but could the nation really afford 
competing networks with the potential of the NBN? The ignorati will 
probably assert that wireless will compete with fibre.

Demanding commercial rates of return leaves out non-commercial benefits. 
The commercial ignores the social.
