ADSL not working can mean anything, are you still in line sync? if so
what errors does your modem report?

That's unacceptable, and I'd be surprised if pacnet told you " who knows
when" they should have given you a tentative ETR when they isolated the
cause, up to 24 hours to get a port reset (by time they actually get
upstream to do it), or, if no sync, that can take 24hrs to ten days if
needs to go to field tech.
