The Internet provider doesn't provide VoIP.

Sorry, I am not sure of the Jargon.

They now have a 4G (previously WiMax) receiver and router (with
Ethernet, a not configured/supported VoiP port, and WiFi) built into one
box.

The VoIP service is being provided by another provider, via the ethernet
port, on the device from the Internet provider.

PS for many years, I have been using a USB 3G dongle plugged into a
Router which provides the ethernet and WiFi.

However I'm confused about what hardware is in place; I gather a 4G dongle is plugged into a USB interface on a router, but are the two VoIP ports on the router or on a separate box?
