Hi club members,
Kurt here, the soon to be windsurfing officer when Yves leaves us later
this year. I'd like to thank Yves for doing an excellent job over the
last few years. He has left the windsurfing equipment in far better
condition than he started with, and has taught quite a few people, what
more can you ask for!
There is a new site to help Canberra windsurfers meet up. We had a BBQ
last Saturday, and it was proposed that Formula windsurfing might be a
way for us to get back out on the water more regularly, and help raise
the profile of windsurfing to the average person (rather than the high
end of the sport).
One of the members is Scotty from the local shop "Wetspot" water sports
in Fyshwick. He has offered to order complete packages from around
$1200. I may not personally commit to this just yet but it's something
that the club will consider later this year, which would basically give
us a billet to fill if the local scene starts to happen.

Thanks,
Kurt.
