Hi sailors,
It's been a while since we had a working bee and as the time goes by our
shed is not getting cleaner and our fleet is not getting newer. so we need
to put some efforts to make our club house a better place and our boats to
last a bit longer and more fun to sail.
I reckon we'll start from 11 am and since I'm going to be there till at
least 6 pm, if you cannot make it before midday you can come later. BBQ will
be organised for the bees. As we need to do some work on the most sails I'd
prefer it to be a no sail day. Windsurfs will be available to take out, but
taking into account algae report, I would not recomend people to fall into
water too often.
Things to do:
Shed maintenance:
1. Cleaning change rooms and the kitchen.
2. Sweeping the shed.
3. Sorting out, labeling and organising a proper storage for life jackets.
4. I won't mind to have more hungers in the male change room. I think we
have wooden planks for them we just need to get a set of hooks. Could
someone (preferably a club house officer take a look at it).
5. There are also two non urgent jobs: I'm wondering if someone can take
care about the replacement of a broken glass in a window which faces the
road and check the roof above the kitchen on leakage.
Boat maintenance
1. Logo typing and repairing sails. Putting ribbons and numbers on some of
them.
2. Gelcoating some spots ("8" and "Red Arrow")
3. If you have any notes on the laser boats you used, please, send them to
me. I don't know if something has to be fixed unless you tell me.
4. Padding the gasket of the racing tasar.
5. Making some adjustments on Laser II.
6. It would be good if someone could lubricate the hubs of our tri-tier. Its
axil was heating up on our last trip.
7. Cutting replacement lines for lasers.
