The report mentions that communications and computer control can be used 
to improve energy efficiency.  However, apart from mention of "Smart 
Grids" there seems to be no recognition of how large a proportion of 
energy use ICT is nor how it could be used to reduce energy use.

The Rio+20 UN Conference on Sustainable Development is 20 to 22 June 
2012 in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. There are some of the documents from the
